Mood and Anxiety

Mood and Anxiety
How we feel affects how we do our everyday tasks and reach our life goals.

Two of the most common feelings that can upset us and affect our lives are depression and anxiety.

Depression

Feeling down, sad or low from time to time is a part of life, but a low mood that doesn’t go away could be a sign of depression. For some people, depression makes them irritable or makes them act out against others. Depression is becoming a problem when the feelings don't go away, get worse, and begin to affect your school, work, family, and friends.

Anxiety

Everyone feels anxious at times, but too much anxiety can affect school, work, home life, and relationships. Anxiety is a problem when it becomes intense, doesn’t go away, and makes it harder for you to do the things you want to do.

Social Anxiety

Do you feel nervous or shy when you meet someone new or perform in front of a group? This is common for many people. However, social anxiety may be a problem if someone is always nervous in these types of situations, especially if it affects their relationships with friends and family and how they do at work or in school.
