Your healthcare team will give you help and support as you recover. In some cases, you may go to another facility before you’re ready to go home.
Before you leave the hospital, your healthcare team will meet with you regularly to see how well you’re able to do everyday activities. They’ll keep working with you to help you move better and do more things on your own.
The sooner you can manage on your own, the sooner you’ll go home.
Getting your home ready
It’s important to have all the equipment you need and ready for you to use it before you go home. Your therapist will meet with you before you go home. They’ll check how you’re doing and let you know what you need and where to get it.
You may have to buy or rent some equipment to help you as you recover at home. Please talk to your therapist if you’re worried about the cost of buying or renting equipment.
Some types of equipment you may need include:
Raised Toilet Seat

Bathtub Transfer Bench and Grab Bars
