Spine pain

Spinal pain means any discomfort in any part of the spine itself. It can be caused by muscle strain, disc problems, arthritis, or nerve compression. The pain might stay in one spot or spread to other areas. Treatment depends on the cause and could include exercise, physical therapy, medicine, or other helpful options. Learn more

Musculoskeletal pain

Musculoskeletal pain affects the muscles, bones, joints, ligaments, or tendons. It can be caused by injury, overuse, poor posture, or other conditions like arthritis. The pain might stay in one area or spread, and it can make moving or doing daily tasks harder. Treatment often includes rest, physical therapy, exercise, and ways to help manage the pain.

Ways to care for yourself

Nerve pain

Nerve pain, or neuropathic pain, is caused by damage or irritation to the nerves. It may feel like burning, tingling, shooting, or electric shock–like sensations. It can happen because of conditions like diabetes, injury, shingles, or nerve compression. Treatment may include medicine, nerve blocks, or therapies that work to calm nerve activity.
