Overview

Many older adults live with pain, but it’s not always noticed or treated. This pain can make it harder to move around, stay independent, and enjoy daily life. As people age, they may experience chronic pain because of arthritis, neuropathy, or osteoarthritis. Finding out what’s causing pain and how to treat it is important to help someone live a full life as they age.

Common conditions and concerns

Common pain conditions in older adults include arthritis, back pain, and neuropathy, often linked to aging and chronic health issues.
